Sikeston Skatepark

We have had skaters around for a long time and at one time had a inside skate park called Dirty Bearings, however it is closed now. But it didn't stop our skaters from skating and dreaming of having another park one day.In March of 2007, a group of skaters ask the Town Council for a park. And in July of 2007, Cindy Taylor started a nonprofit organization called Sikeston Action Sports, Inc and formed a committee called it The Sikeston Skate Committee. She arranged for all of the youth to come together and work at fundraiser events to raise money.

What We Do

I have a group of young skaters whom has worked very hard in the last 14 months on raising money for our community to have a skatepark.

Some of our fundraisers have included: 

Serve Pizza for tips and donations 

• Wash Car, bake sales 
• Fundraisers of any type
• Door to door to local business for donations
• Presentations about the skatepark
